Sales Manager, Aspen

The opportunity
Today we are bringing to market a Sales Manager role with a European furniture and lifestyle maison, for its Aspen showroom. The house is known across Europe for design-led furniture, decoration, and lifestyle pieces, and Aspen is its move into one of the most rarefied resort markets in the country — a small, seasonal town where a handful of doors serve some of America's wealthiest second-home owners and the designers who furnish their houses.
Aspen is not a volume market, and this is not a volume job. The showroom might see a collector who has just closed on a house above the valley and needs it furnished before the season, an interior designer sourcing for three projects at once, and a couple who wandered in off Galena Street and will spend an hour before they spend a dollar. The work is patient and consultative — high-ticket pieces, long lead times, custom and made-to-order — and it lives or dies on relationships that carry from one winter to the next. We are looking for someone who can lead the floor and the small team on it, hold the service standard a European maison expects, and sell the way this town buys: quietly, personally, and over time. Four or more years in luxury retail, furniture, or interiors, at least two of them leading, and the polish to sit comfortably with both the design trade and the private client.
What you will be responsible for
- Own the showroom's sales performance across furniture, décor, and lifestyle collections
- Lead, coach, and schedule the showroom sales team, setting the service standard on the floor
- Build and hold relationships with high-net-worth private clients, interior designers, and architects across Aspen, Vail, and the Roaring Fork Valley
- Guide clients through high-consideration, made-to-order and custom purchases, from first consultation to delivery
- Partner with the design trade on residential and second-home projects
- Represent the maison's aesthetic and heritage in a discerning resort market
- Manage showroom presentation, inventory, and reporting through the seasonal cycle
What we are looking for
- Four or more years in luxury retail, furniture, interiors, or design sales, with at least two leading a team or floor
- A track record selling high-ticket pieces to high-net-worth clients and/or the design trade
- Genuine clienteling instinct — you build books that last across seasons
- Comfortable with long, consultative sales cycles and custom or made-to-order pieces
- Poised with both private clients and design professionals
- An eye and an appetite for European design and craftsmanship
- Willing to be based in Aspen year-round (relocation assistance provided)
What the opportunity offers
- $75,000–$85,000 base salary, plus performance bonus
- Relocation assistance to Aspen for the right candidate
- A rare leadership role with a European maison entering the U.S. market
- A discerning, high-spend clientele and genuinely design-led product
