A prestige beauty house

The opportunity

Today we are bringing to market an opportunity with a prestige beauty house, for its SoHo flagship. The brand has built a real following on formulation and point of view rather than discounting, and the store is one of its most visible doors in the country — high footfall, a young and vocal customer, and a launch calendar that keeps the floor moving.

The client base is mixed in a way that keeps the job interesting. A regular comes in every six weeks and expects you to remember what she left with last time. A tourist has fifteen minutes and a list from a friend. Someone else has read every review of one product and wants to be told honestly whether it is right for their skin. The people who do well here are unhurried and straightforward — they know the ingredients properly, they will happily talk a client out of the wrong purchase, and they treat a $40 sale with the same attention as a $400 basket, because that is how the second visit gets earned. We are looking for two to three years on a luxury or prestige floor, and someone who still finds the products genuinely interesting.

What you will be responsible for

  • Sell across the full assortment — skincare, makeup, and fragrance
  • Run consultations that start with listening: skin, routine, budget, and what has failed before
  • Build a personal client base through follow-up, replenishment outreach, and booked appointments
  • Know the formulations and the house story well enough to answer the hard questions
  • Work launches, sampling moments, and in-store events
  • Keep testers, displays, and stock immaculate through a busy day
  • Support replenishment, cycle counts, and loss prevention

What we are looking for

  • Two to three years in prestige beauty, fragrance, or luxury retail
  • Real ingredient and product literacy, with the appetite to keep learning
  • Honest with clients — comfortable saying a product is not right for them
  • Composed and warm on a high-volume floor, without becoming transactional
  • Confident with POS, CRM, and clienteling tools
  • Additional languages welcome; the clientele is international
  • Weekend and launch-evening availability

What the opportunity offers

  • Commission and launch incentives on a floor with serious traffic
  • Full product and application training, and generous gratis
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and staff discount
  • A visible flagship, and a clear path to Assistant Manager for someone who builds a book
