The opportunity
Today we are bringing to market an Account Executive role with a European heritage house in luxury home furnishings, for its Los Angeles showroom. The house has been handcrafting its pieces for generations, made to order and built to last decades, and it is known among a small, devoted clientele for craftsmanship that cannot be rushed or copied. Los Angeles is one of its most important markets in the United States.
This is not a counter job. The person we are looking for sells on the showroom floor and builds business beyond it. On a given week you might guide a private client through a high-consideration purchase over two visits, host an interior designer and her client for a private appointment, and follow up with a hospitality or residential project that could place several pieces at once. The sale is consultative, the ticket is high, and the product needs to be experienced before it is bought. We are looking for a top performer with a proven record selling to high-net-worth clients, the instinct of a business developer, and the generosity of a real team player. Above all, someone who is at ease representing a heritage brand, and who understands that in this category, trust is the product.
What you will be responsible for
- Drive showroom sales and consistently exceed individual targets
- Guide private clients through a consultative, high-ticket purchase, from first visit to delivery and after-care
- Build and grow a personal client book through clienteling, referrals, private appointments and events
- Develop trade business with interior designers, architects, developers, hospitality and residential projects across Greater Los Angeles
- Prospect actively outside the showroom: networking, partnerships and community presence
- Represent the house's heritage, craftsmanship and service standard in every interaction
- Work closely with the showroom team, sharing clients, knowledge and wins
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline and sales reporting
What we are looking for
- Three or more years in luxury retail, high-end home, design, or luxury business development, with a documented record as a top seller
- Experience selling high-ticket products to high-net-worth individuals
- A business developer's mindset: you generate your own opportunities rather than waiting for foot traffic
- Relationships with, or experience selling to, the design trade is a strong plus
- Comfortable with long, consultative sales cycles and made-to-order products
- Polished, discreet and credible as the face of a heritage brand
- A genuine team player who shares the floor and the credit
- Based in or able to commute to Los Angeles; weekend availability as part of a retail schedule
What the opportunity offers
- $65,000–$80,000 base salary, plus commission
- Health insurance
- 401(k)
- Real opportunities for growth within an international heritage house
- A rare, craft-driven product and a discerning, high-spend clientele
